The SHS Concert Choir presents it’s annual Fall Concert, Thursday, October 19, at 7:15 pm in the school’s Presentation Room. An exhibit by the SHS Art Department precedes the concert. Free Admission.
The Salem Choir Parents holds their regular meeting Tuesday, Oct 17 at 7:00 pm i the High School Presentation Room.
Parents be aware that there are several events in October that require your attention. Butter Braids arrive Tuesday afternoon, October 3.

ALL CHOIR MEMBERS and THEATRE ARTS STUDENTS are required to have a signed Extra-Curricular Consent Form on file with the school. This is mandated by School Board Policy.

Salem Choir and Musical Theatre students will be taking orders for delicious Butter Braid frozen pastries through September 12. The orders come in the first week of October, making these a great choice for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any family get-together. These are great products, and available only through Salem students. Help support the Choir and Musical Theatre programs. Selected Art Department students at SHS will also be raising funds to help support their activities as well.
The addition of Chromebooks grades 6-8, and the addition of these devices to the high school in 2018 give us an opportunity to practice some skills online.
All Choir students grades 6-12 will be going through portions of the MusicTheory.net program this year. These lessons and exercises reinforce what is demonstrated in class, and skills will be tested from time to time.

The Salem Choir Parents Organization will meet at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, August 8, in the SHS Presentation Room. Plans for the school year will be discussed and we will be seeking volunteers to assist in Choir projects 6-12.
The Pops Concert originally scheduled for Monday, May 22 has been cancelled. School will not be in session and chances of getting all the students ready and present for the event are not good under the circumstances.
Chances of re-scheduling are uncertain, as the facility is in use for the 8th grade Honor Program later in the week.
